I appreciate you.......
You appreciate me??
We are pleased to invite you for an interview for 30 minutes.
We know you know something about the topic. We have time to talk to you on xxx or xxx. We are happy to meet you at your convenience.
I appreciate you”.

Haha~~ I am 'pleased' to see your blog. I 'appreciate you' for this post!
I look forward to hearing from you soon,好像是歷來我想得到,最保險的結語吧。

Thank you for your attention... 雖然我知道不是太多人會pay attention to my mail...
We know you know something about the topic...
We know you know something about the topic...
Anonymous,
That is a fanfuckingtastic translation. I love it!
i'm more interested in how you respond to these students.
let me put it into context. a student read some interesting work on new research methods and would like to follow this work and run some analyses.
this student ran into problems and tried to get some help from these authors. this student has reasonable english writing skills and the inquires were professional and polite.
yet, this student heard nothing for weeks.
what is academia about? is it not about ideas and sharing ideas? publication is important for the cv. but isn't it more important that it's actually read? when it is read, isn't it important that people try and see if what they say really works?
